My Mom loved the clear lucite purses and along the way -- because of her -- I keep my eyes peeled for clear lucite purses. Always hard to find without chips or cracks -- and this one is in lovely condition except for some minor issues. That is why marking down -- or would ask $248 for this purse.
This is one of the larger purses from Florida. Measures 8 x 3 1/2 x 4 inches without handles -- the latch works great, traditional style of latch along with well known waffle pattern top. Handles you find applied both ways on different styles of Florida purses (check out this interesting fact out in lucite purse books). Ball feet which is well known for Florida. All original as we found it and still has original sticker.
The issues are -- hinge is popped on the left side (see last photo) -- and the handles have to go all the way down to open fully. If open fully clicks for stiff because of hinge popped on left side. There is a magic marker line near one foot but because of the glare -- couldn't get a good photo!! Otherwise -- so chips or cracks or yellowing and no smells.
The clear lucite purses were lined with hankies to match your outfit back in the day. My Mom loved that as she still wears pearls at age 93!
We always ship our purses Priority Mail to keep them out of the weather. We store them in pillow cases along with a silica package to keep the hardware from any environmental damage. We try hard to find the best we can -- and will let you know any flaws that we see.
