I just LOVE this design and find the combination of colors irresistible! This lovely garland/mobile will bring joy to any corner! :) I made it with vintage French book pages and craft paper as the third layer. Each scallop has 3 layers, ready to form lovely 3D baubles.
Perfect for adding a unique and creative touch to your home or giving as a thoughtful and original gift for a bird lover! It's a great way to decorate a dining or living room too! I have one in my kitchen :) (see photo)
This would also make a wonderful birthday party or nursery decoration :)
You can, of course, drape it across a wall, but It will also hang nicely over a mirror or window, or I just hang them vertically from curtain rails or from anything you can attach them to using just and old peg :) Hang in a doorway, from a cupboard, wardrobe or bedpost. They bring that something extra, they are joyful and delicate at the same time....when they move with gentle breeze or just simply hang there in their prettiness :)
I hand cut the scallops - each measures 2" and then stitch them together using double cotton thread.
Garland measures approximately 40" - it's finished with a merino wool felt bead at the bottom, to help it hang nicely :) - color of the felt ball will vary - I have them in:
*soft grey
*duck egg blue
*red
*ivory
*black
*light green
*baby pink

There is a lovely hemp ribbon on top - ready to hang or to make someone happy!
