ANTIQUE MILAGRO CHARM MEXICAN EX VOTO FOLK ART HEART EVIL EYE MILAGROS
~* MEXICAN EX VOTO MILAGRO PIECES *~
~ DAGGERED HEARTS & EVIL EYES ~
I have hand picked and assembled together a unique mix of antique Mexican Milagros for your jewelry creations.
Three 'evil eye' pieces and five daggered heart pieces.
They are all early pieces all from the 19th century. These are authentic Milagros that were discovered in the churches of Mexico, they are not reproductions or machine made.
These are all primitive in design. I'm not sure if they were crafted in this manner or are just worn with time.
These are all a mix of silver and gold plated brass and one odd piece that has a coppery tint to the brass.
These would make a superb statement necklace utilized as pendants or perfect as charm bracelet dangles or earrings. Unique items for assemblage, collage, altered art or mixed media projects. Embellish a key chain. Tie them with a ribbon or yarn or string or chain and hang them from your rear view mirror for protection on your journey.
You will receive all eight (8) pieces as pictured.

*** MILAGRO HISTORY ***
"Milagro" means "miracle" and they are symbolic religious charms utilized in Mexico and other Latin American countries for hundreds of years by the faithful.
The believers present the Milagros as an offering of petition to the saints for healings or protection. They are also presented as thank-you offerings for prayers answered.
The Milagros are typically pinned to alters or crosses or other objects of devotion such as a statue of Mary, Jesus or a particular saint.
Milagros are made in many symbolic forms such as eyes, legs, arms and the heart. The relics take other forms such as animals, angels and abodes.
Each representative figure would be utilized to petition for a miracle. An arm or leg might be presented as a petition for a healing in that corresponding body part. A heart Milagro may be presented as a petition for a healing or as a prayer for the lovelorn. An animal symbol may be utilized to petition a healing for an ailing animal or for fertility.
