Upcycled jewelry and accessories from Key of A - Beautiful repurposed 19th century ornamental cast bronze keyhole escutcheon and antique chandelier crystal long length necklace
What a find!!! These escutcheons were taken from an 1883 Victorian townhome in Atchison, Kansas that was being demolished. Wonderful hardware like this was found throughout the home we were told, but we were fortunate to obtain two of these ornate pieces.
The necklace features a 19th century ornamental cast bronze keyhole or maybe a door escutcheon. We are not certain if this is "Eastlake" or "Aesthetic" when it comes to the design, but either way, this is simply a gorgeous piece of historic hardware!
We kept the necklace simple, letting the beauty of the escutcheon do all the work for this one of a kind necklace, by adding a lead crystal icicle shaped chandelier crystal to the bottom and simply hanging the pendant from a substantial antique brass oval cable link chain with a coordinating lobster clasp.
